Privacy Policy
Octarq Co. (“we”) operates the Octarq website and sells the Octarq software. This policy explains what we collect. Because Octarq is self-hosted, the data your Octarq instance processes (your links, mail, servers, etc.) lives on your infrastructure — we never receive it.
What we collect
Section titled “What we collect”- Purchase data. When you buy a license, our payment processor collects your email and payment details and shares the email + plan with us to issue your license. We store the email, tier, and license record.
- Website analytics. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics scripts on our website.
- Support correspondence. If you email us, we keep that correspondence.
What we do NOT collect
Section titled “What we do NOT collect”- The contents of your self-hosted Octarq instance (links, emails, server credentials, AI data). These never leave your servers.
- For AI features you use your own API key (BYOK); inference goes directly from your instance to your chosen provider.
Payment processing
Section titled “Payment processing”Payments are handled by Stripe or Polar.sh. See their privacy policies for how they handle card data. We do not store card numbers.
How we use data
Section titled “How we use data”To deliver and support your license, process payments, and send essential service/transactional emails. We do not sell your data.
Retention
Section titled “Retention”We keep purchase and license records for as long as needed to support your license and meet legal/accounting obligations.
Your rights
Section titled “Your rights”Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR/CCPA), you may request access, deletion,
